Green Bean Casserole

Growing up, whenever my parents went on vacation, my grandma always watched my sister and I. She would make tator tot hotdish with ground beef, cream of mushroom soup, onions, and tator tots on top. For some reason the combination of all of that disgusted me and I hated eating it! Twelve years later I am craving something similar and decide to make this. 🙂

  • 1 Lb. ground beef or ground chicken
  • 2 cans green beans
  • 1/2 can water
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 white or sweet onion
  • salt and pepper


  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Brown beef and mix in all ingredients in a pan over the stove.
  • Transfer to a 9×13 pan.
  • Bake for 45 minutes.
